Sheepscot Harbour Village

The Coziest Spring Cottages at Sheepscot

New Englanders aren’t afraid of springtime temperatures in the mid-50s and 60s. In fact, we embrace spring’s arrival by hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking through the beautiful, vast Maine wilderness. But that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate the warmth of a charming, cozy cottage. You’ll discover a fleet of riverside Maine cottage rentals at Sheepscot Harbour Village Resort and Water’s Edge in peaceful Edgecomb, Maine. We’ve quickly grown into one of the best four-season Maine family resorts thanks to our waterfront locale, proximity to Wiscasset, and, of course, our pristine, river-view cottages. We love all of our accommodations equally, but these cottages were practically built for a coastal escape during spring.

The Sheepscot (Cottage 49)

Cottage 49 may have the most beautiful enclosed porch in the entire state. Whether you’re enjoying a cup of tea, reading a new book, or simply relaxing, The Sheepscot’s enclosed porch is the perfect place to reflect. This lengthy nook overlooks the Sheepscot River, so you’ll have a spectacular front-row seat during a clear sunset. Not only does this cottage rest on the river’s edge, but it also features wood floors, cathedral ceilings, and a large double Jacuzzi tub.

Cottage 801

Cottage 801 is a very popular property here at Sheepscot Harbour Village, one of the premier year-round Maine family resorts. This three-bedroom cottage is perfect for large families or groups because it has two full bathrooms, three queen-size beds, a porch, and a large, luxurious kitchen. You’ll feel right at home inside Cottage 801.

The Maquoit (Cottage 53)

Cottage 53, also known as “The Maquoit,” is arguably the most charming unit here at Sheepscot Harbour Village, thanks to its pleasant upholstery, nautical-themed decor, and stunning Sheepscot River vistas. The Maquiot, which was named after the scenic bay south of Brunswick, sits directly on the river, meaning you’ll have a chance to observe a famous Sheepscot Harbour sunset every evening. Cottage 53 sleeps four, features cathedral ceilings, and has complimentary Wi-Fi.

Cottage 617

Very few Maine family resorts have a secluded pet-friendly, three-bedroom cottage with a full kitchen. Cottage 617 is the ideal home-away-from-home for families looking for a taste of Midcoast Maine wilderness combined with contemporary conveniences. Some of the best features of this home are the upstairs balcony, large bedrooms, modern bathrooms, and chef’s kitchen.

Cottage Room 605 B

Cottage Room 605 B is a cozy loft that overlooks the Sheepscot River, making it a popular unit for couples celebrating an engagement, anniversary, or Valentine’s Day. Much like Cottage 617, this second-floor room is pet-friendly, so you won’t have to leave your favorite four-legged friend at home. The balcony and back deck are both splendid places to watch a Sheepscot River sunset or simply enjoy a steaming cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.

The Townhouse

While not a cottage, per se, The Townhouse is yet another lovely space for a springtime escape. As one of the best four-season Maine wedding venues, Sheepscot Harbour Village Resort needed a sizable home-away-from-home that could fit up to six guests – that’s where The Townhouse came into the picture. Wedding parties, families, and small groups fit perfectly in this elegant home complete with a cozy fireplace, river views, and an en-suite balcony.
